Turn90 is a specialized solution to solve a complex problem

Turn90 creates an opportunity for success after prison where one doesn't currently exist. The program is pioneering in its approach. It combines cognitive behavioral classes, supportive services, transitional employment, and job placement to offer an innovative and evidence-informed model of prison re-entry.

Making a deep investment in a person’s emotional, social, behavioral and financial well-being gives them the skills to manage life differently, a pathway to legal employment, and an offramp from the incarceration cycle.

78% of graduates remain arrest-free, reducing national rates by two-thirds. 89% of graduates remain employed 90 days or more; Turn90 provided transitional employment to 111 men leaving prison in 2023.

Donor-Advised FundsDonor-Advised Funds (DAFs) are very effective charitable giving vehicles whereby donors set aside money to be granted to charitable organizations. You can support Turn90 through a DAF grant. When processing a DAF grant through a charitable giving account, search for Turn90 by tax ID number (46-0671501).

Retirement Plans and IRAs

A retirement plan, such as an IRA, can be a smart source for charitable giving. If you are 70½ years or older, an IRA charitable rollover gift allows you to direct up to $100,000 tax-free to Turn90 each year from your traditional IRA, which satisfies your required minimum distribution and reduces your taxable income. Contact your IRA custodian to request a direct distribution to Turn90. Married taxpayers who meet QCD requirements and file joint returns can donate $100,000 from each spouse’s IRA, for a total of $200,000 annually.

Corporate Matching Gifts

Many companies match donations made by their employees to registered nonprofit organizations. We encourage you to inquire from your company if they might be able to match your donation this year. The impact of your gift to Turn90 could potentially be doubled and sometimes even tripled!
